Cryptozoology

Hi Peeps,

Today I will share with you all on something which is extra-terrestial to all of us which is Cryptozoology

Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience and subculture that aims to prove the existence of entities from the folklore record, such as Bigfoot, chupacabras, or Mokele-mbembe. Cryptozoologists refer to these entities as cryptids, a term coined by the subculture. In simple word, this is a field of study of something which we only can see once in a lifetime if we got any chances.

Creatures like Loch Ness, Chupacabra, Unicorn and so on is the folklore story shared by the elders which get a chance to see those things with their own naked eyes. But, it requires extra research to prove that those creatures are exist or is it a fake news.

Cryptozoologists may consider any figure from folklore to be a "cryptid" (from the Greek κρύπτω, krypto, meaning "hide") after the term cryptozoology and meaning a 'hidden animal'. While there have been attempts to codify cryptozoology approaches, unlike biologists, zoologists, botanists, and other academic disciplines, however, "there are no accepted, uniform, or successful methods for pursuing cryptids

This is a list of cryptids that I will present to you all. Enjoy!

1. Nessie The Loch Ness

Loch Ness, the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles, is twenty four miles long and, at one point, one and a half miles wide. It has an average depth of four hundred and fifty feet and at times plunges close to a thousand. It is cold and murky, with dangerous currents. In short, it is the perfect place to hide a monster from even the most prying eyes of science.

2. The Giant Sloth

Giant Sloths had very large, dangerous-looking claws. Despite their size they were probably only used to strip leaves or bark from plants. Their teeth were small and blunt in keeping with their herbivore diet. Examinations of their hip bones suggests that they could stand on their hind legs to extend their grazing as high as twenty feet.

3. Bigfoot of North America

Bigfoot, or as it's often called in Canada, the Sasquatch, is mentioned in several native American legends. In fact, the term "Sasquatch" is Indian for "hairy giant." The first sighting of a Sasquatch by a white man apparently came in 1811 near what now is the town of Jasper, Alberta Canada. A trader named David Thompson found some strange footprints, fourteen inches long and eight inches wide, with four toes, in the snow.

4. The Werewolf

The root of the word werewolf goes back to the old word wer which means man. A werewolf is therefore a man-wolf: part human, part beast. Though most people today associate werewolves with Hollywood movies and especially with actor Lon Chaney, Jr, the idea that a creature exists that can change from man to a wolf and back has been well-embedded in legend and folklore for more than two-thousand years.

5. Giant Lizards (KOMODO DRAGON)

The discovery of the Komodo Dragons (Varanus komodoensis) is one of the cryptozoological surprises of the 20th century. Before 1912 the species was completely unknown and large lizards were thought to be extinct. Then, in that year, a party of pearl fishermen anchored at an almost entirely-unknown isle in a chain of islands called the Lesser Sundas. The fishermen brought back stories of an enormous, prehistoric creature living there. The island's name was Komodo.
