My Journey as a Leader

Being a leader is part of a phase that one will face in his or her life including me. To be a leader, I mean a good leader, it requires some factors such as having the effective ways of communication. For example, use standard terms, provide clarifications and use proper signs.

Apart from that, a leader need to delegate his or her task to the sub-ordinates. Some of the advantages are managers can focus on more important task, better decision can be made as sub-ordinates are closer to problem and decision can make in short time.

Besides, few qualities that a leader need to have are show sincere appreciation, maintain positive humor, set an example and be approachable.

The Leader That I Idol The Most

The Leader That I Idol The Most

It is my one and only father that i have in this world. My father is the best leader that i admire since i was a kid. A lot of personal traits and skills that i have learnt from him. Besides, he also loves me so much. He will sacrifice all his energy and money just to make  me happy and keeps me healthy.

    

One of the personal traits about him that i would like to share today is he really take care about animals especially cats. Since i was a kid, my father always tell me that our prophet, Muhammad SAW really like a cat. Therefore, my father tell me that if we love a cat, it means that we have done a good job as we already follow the sunnah of Muhammad SAW. 

Next, my father is a person who have the sense of decisiveness, which is able to take/make decision. He taught me that we need to be brave and confidence in order to make things works on. And all of that requires a high degree of knowledge and understanding on that particular stuff. 

Here im now today.. thanks to Allah and also my father for taking care of me all this while. Now its time for me to proof to my father that what you have taught me all this while is worthy!

INFLUENCING MANAGEMENT

Influencing. It is one of the great element to be considered in making sure that one can confidently point others to do something without any aggresive force towards them. However, this skills is like a craftsman which need time and practice to be done.

Meanwhile, this skill falls into 3 sub-elements. They are: assertiveness, interpersonal and interactive. Let's discuss more on these.

MASISWA ZON SELATAN 2018

Sukan anatara IPTS zon selatan yang diberi nama MASISWA diakadakan pada setiap tahun. Kali ini, aktiviti tersebut telah dijalankan di Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Segamat Johor. Antara sukan yang dipertandingkan adalah basketball, futsal, ping pong dan bola jaring. Alhamdulillah tahun ini, pasukan dari MMU College telah berjaya menjadi johan keseluruhan untuk MASISWA 2018. Harapan agar universiti-universiti lain dapat bersaing secara sihat untuk merangkul takhta juara di masa akan datang.

Taman Botani Shah Alam, Selangor

 1. AVIARY & BUNNY PARK

Di sini, ibu bapa dan kanak-kanak boleh bebas bermain-main dengan arnab-arnab yang ada di sini. Arnab-arnab di sini dibiarkan hidup bebas supaya orang ramai dapat merasai kehidupan yang istimewa bersama haiwan tersebut. Bayaran untuk kanak-kanak adalah RM 5 manakala untuk dewasa adalah RM 7 sahaja.

2. TAMAN HAIWAN & REKREASI

Di taman haiwan ini, pelbagai binatang seperti rusa, kuda, burung-burung dan haiwan-haiwan eksotik boleh dilihat di sini. Sesetengah haiwan di sini juga dibenarkan untuk diberi makanan oleh pelancong sendiri seperti rusa. Selain itu, kanak-kanak juga dapat bergambar dan menunggang kuda-kuda yang ada di sini.

3. RUMAH IKLIM 4 MUSIM

Di sini merupakan lokasi tarikan ramai orang kerana terdapat 4 musim yang tidak pernah dialami di Malaysia. Jadi, inilah kesempatan bagi penduduk Malaysia yang tidak berpeluang ke luar negara untuk merasai sendiri kehidupan di negara-negara lain.

PERKEMAHAN

Aktiviti perkhemahan sudah pastinya akan dilaksanakan oleh mana-mana institusi, baik sekolah mahu pun universiti. Tahukah anda, apakah tujuan dan kelebihan-kelebihan menghadirkan diri dalam aktiviti seperti ini? Mari kita selidik!

1. Membentuk kesepakatan dalam membuat pekerjaan. 

Semasa kita di kem lah, kita akan makan bersama-sama, menyelesaikan tugasan dalam satu pasukan serta bekerjasama antara satu sama lain menyelesaikan permasalahan yang datang.

2. Melatih chef2 cilik

Selain daripada aktiviti-aktiviti berat, kemahiran memasak juga perlu ada dalam diri setiap individu. Di sini para peserta akan diajar kaedah memasak oleh jurulatih-jurulatih yang berkemahiran.

3. Menggilap kreativiti

Sebagai seorang yang profesional, kita haruslah mempunyai kemahiran untuk hidup dalam apa jua keadaan. Sebagai contoh, gambar menunjukkan para pesarta telah berjaya membina kawasan berteduh sekiranya berlaku hujan.

4. Melatih disiplin

Disiplin merupakan elemen yang harus dilatih setiap hari. Ini adalah bertujuan untuk membentuk insan yang unggul, berfikiran matang serta patuh pada arahan ketua.

Depression and Anxiety

Depression is one of the most common issue nowadays. It can happen to anybody regardless any genders. Therefore, we need to know what is the factors that lead to this scenario. 

1. Too much focus on work

It is good to be a hard working person. But when it come to resting hour, we need to put a consideration too. This is to ensure that our body get enough rest, so that we can give a full intensity of work in future.

2. Lack of sleep

Basically, we will noticed this scenario mainly happened to the students regardless any stages of studies. Most of them who are having depression is because they tend to study in the last minute. They taught that they can handle the situation, but the fact is that they can't actually. Therefore, as a student, we need to put a priority in doing things, so our daily routine will be more systematic. 

3. Bullying

This is one of the biggest case reported nowadays. In my opinion, the kids nowadays tend to simply follow what they see in television. They are more likely not to think first before taking actions. 

Merdeka

Merdeka adalah apabila kita bebas dari penjajahan. Sebelum ini, kita dikawal oleh kuasa-kuasa luar dari pelbagai aspek (ekonomi, sosial dan politik). Kita seharusnya menghargai penjuang-pejuang negara yang telah berkorban demi keselesaan kita pada masa kini. Antaranya dengan meraikan sambutan Hari Kemerdekaan. Ini akan menaikkan lagi semangat cinta akan negara kita, Malaysia.

CADET's Routine

1. Physical training

Basically, this activity will be conducted by the physical training unit, twice per day which is the morning session and also evening session. 

Reason : To ensure that all cadets are always in a good health and maintain their fitness.

2. Classes 8 hours daily

The class will start at 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs (depends on the time table). Here, we will learn the theory and practical part (workshop).

Aim: To ensure that all cadets are well prepared with the basic knowledge of navigation.

3. Club's event

In ALAM itself, there are varieties of clubs organised. One of the most active club is Dragonboat Club. They will teach us how to play all kind of water sports such as dragon boat, canoe polo and kayaking.

Aim: To provide the cadets with some beneficial activities during weekends and free time.

4. Shows & Performance

A lot of shows being organised. The most common one is when the new cadets coming in to ALAM. Basically, they need to create a performance to be shown to the rank holders as a sign of thank you for teaching them the proper ways to be a good cadet in ALAM.

Aim: Cadets need to be confident in front of audience.

ALAM@WORLD MARITIME DAY 2018

Akademi Laut Malaysia (ALAM) telah menyertai World Maritime Day 2018 di Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Searamai 20 orang kadet sem 3 telah menjadi skuad street lining manakala 24 orang pasukan pancaragam, yang juga terdiri daripada kadet-kadet ALAM. 

Ketibaan skuad ALAM di lokasi penginapan

1440: Semua kadet ALAM telah berjaya sampai di lokasi penginapan (the Zone Hotel, KL). Alhamdulillah urusan check-in berjalan lancar. Kelihatan semua kadet dan staf gembira dan berpuas hati dengan lokasi penginapan yang diberi. Thank you MARDEP! 

Selama 3 hari 2 malam mereka di sana, segala tugasan yang diberi oleh pihak atasan berjaya dilaksanakan dengan sempurna dan cemerlang. Jadi, tibalah masa yang ditunggu-tunggu oleh skuad ALAM iaitu masa untuk jalan-jalan! Hehee..
